Nine historical districts of the town of Alba participates with 18 representants encharged of pushing the donkeys in the best way they are able to till the goal. The winner gets the palio, a tissue painted by a famous artist. The rest of the day is widely animated by a parade of hundreds of persons with historical clothes.
