Arena di Verona

The arena in Verona is the most famous still working amphitheatre belonging the Roman ancient period. It is also awarded as the biggest amphiteatre in Europe, second to the Rome's Colosseum and the Anfiteatro campano. Originally built to host the gladiator fights, today is one of the most suggesting location where operas anc concerts are played after the first show on 1913, a marvellous Aida by Giuseppe Verdi. Summer shows are played on the huge stage today believed as the biggest in Europe.
