San Vitale's Basilica was built on 522 on the order of the bishop Ecclesio. The basilica building started in gothic-latin age and ended in bizantine period. San Vitale's basilica has interesting architectural shapes and parts evoking the deepest oriental style. Among the most important parts of this basilica are the famous mosaics along the walls. Among these the most important are the Abraham stories represented on the right side, Abele and Melhisedec making some sacrifices to God on the right.
