High on a gentle hillock overlooking the peaceful Val d' Orcia is the breathtaking site of this luxury boutique hotel, Castello di Velona. An 11th century fortress and once the villa of famous Sienese families, the Castello di Velona is today an exclusive relais where history beautifully blends with art, viniculture and gastronomy.

The hotel consists of 22 suites, and 2 double-rooms all equipped with all modern comforts. Each of the 24 room and suites is different from the other and decorated a furnished in a different colours. All rooms have fireplaces, antiques furniture and broad views of the Tuscan countryside. All suites are equipped with air-con, 2 phones, satellite TV, mini-bar and safes for valuables.

Open air restaurant in summertime between olive and cypress trees to taste the best dishes of a typical regional cuisine. In colder season the restaurant Le Colonne is available for hotel's guest serving delicious dishes close to the massive roaring log fireplace.
A meeting room is available also for up to 25 persons. A more intimate private meeting room is the Salone dei Paesaggi for no more than 10 guests.
The Castle has a large internal courtyard, a wide terrace with views over Val d'Orcia and the great pool.
